Situated around 5 miles north east of Coventry, Bulkington is a large, thriving village with a population of over 6,000. Because of its location, within easy reach of Coventry, Leicester and Birmingham, Bulkington has a real mix of young people and growing families. We also have quite a few ‘more experienced’ residents as well!
Surrounded by pleasant farmland, the village has been declared a conservation area, and still retains many buildings dating from the 19th century.
At St James’, we see our church as a focal point for village life. By building links with the local community, we can provide opportunities for people of every age and background to grow in faith together.
The Church is open on Saturday mornings for enquiries about marriage and baptism, to pray or just pop in for a coffee and chat.
Whether you’re a regular visitor, or looking for information about St James’ for the first time, we hope you find our website informative, interesting and, above all, uplifting!
Our vision is to see St James’ Church at the centre of our community and offering active Christian fellowship and service.
We are committed to;
• Recognising the varying needs and commitments of the community and so seeking to provide different ways of sharing the Gospel of Christ.
• Widening the use of the church building with the provision of new facilities.
• Relating well to all age groups, developing work with children and young people and furthering links with local schools, neighbouring churches and the wider community.
• Being open to all who call upon us and serving them in the name of Jesus Christ.
And we need everybody’s support, ideas and talent to achieve this vision!
