Maundy Thursday to Easter
The orders of service are available to download from the link below.
Services at St James will be livestreamed on our Facebook page and available afterwards here and on our YouTube channel
Maundy Thursday is the service of Jesus, the obedient servant, who washes the feet of his disciples and calls them to watch and pray with him on the journey to the cross.
Our Service of Holy Communion and the Maundy Watch is at 7.30pm
Good Friday is the most solemn day of the Church’s year. We enter into the darkness and dereliction of the cross as we contemplate Jesus. As today also makes clear, even in the midst of the horror of the cross, God’s love is poured out in Jesus’ death
Our services are :
10:00 Cafe Church (with Hot Cross Buns!)
Cries for a Lost Homeland” - A Service of Reflection for Good Friday
13:00 At the Foot of the Cross (St James)
14:30 At the Foot of the Cross (St Botolph)
Easter Day
From earliest times Christians have gathered through the night of Easter to recall the story of God’s saving work, from creation through to the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We experience new life - light which offers hope to all.

Easter Day is the most important day of the Church’s year when we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection with joy and splendour, offering the hope of new life to all.08:30 Eucharist with Hymns (St Botolph)
