This was held on Saturday 8th September. Due to the weather this was held in the church, well the food was cooked outside. This was a very well attended event with over 40 people. Many thanks to all those who helped to make this an enjoyable evening, following on from the equally successful Gift Day (see Gift Day page for more details). Everyone enoyed excellent food  - sausages, burgers, salad and an amazing array of deserts including  Home Made Scones, Trifles  and Pavalova and we must not forget the amazing 'Parish Share cocktail' drink

It has been announced today (Sunday 2nd September) that Revd Charles Higgins, currently Curate at St Matthew, St Oswald  and Overslade (m2o) in Rugby, will be our next vicar.  We have yet to confirm details of the licensing service, but will let you know as soon as they become available.  This is really good news and we look forward to Charles joining us.  Thank you for all of your support and prayers through this process, and pray for Charles and his wife, Emma, as they prepare to move here’.

Revd Charles Higgins

Charles is originally from the South East and joined m2o as a Curate in summer 2015. Before moving to Rugby, Charles trained for ministry at Ridley Hall in Cambridge, following four years as a theology student in Exeter. He is keen to encourage people to explore Christian faith and to use their gifts and talents to serve God and the community around them. Charles is married to Emma and is a big fan of music, stories in books and films, and setting the world to rights over some good food.

Venue Vicarage Garden. 6.30p.m. £5 to include a drink. Signup sheet at back of church, also sign up sheet if you are able to provide a dessert. If possible could you bring a chair? Further information speak to Anne.

St James Bulkington and St Botolph Burton Hastings are currently in interegnum

Following the recent interview process we pleased to be able to announce that the preferred candidate has accepted the offer.  St James and St Botoph are under the patronage of the Lord Chancelor and therefore we now have to wait further while the legal progress takes place and for the Bishop of Coventry to approve the appointment. We are therefore unable to announce the name of the succesful candidate, as soon as we are able to do this, we will update the website
